The Form Guide After Bahrain - Part 3: Top Ten Finish

Formula 1 Betting By Numbers

Over the last week I've analysed which drivers have been the most proitable bets (and also the safest) so far this season in the Winning Driver, Podium Finish and Top Six Finish betting markets.

If you want to check out the results then you can find the full 'Betting Profit' charts for the various betting markets at the following links:

Today I move onto the Top Ten Finish market and for the benefit of anyone new to F1 Tips Blog, the following chart shows the profit you would have made if you'd bet £1 on the same driver to finish in the points at every Grand Prix so far this season:

Top 10 Finish Profit* Winning Bet
Paul Di Resta 1.73 3
Romain Grosjean 1.65 4
Lewis Hamilton 0.87 4
Kimi Raikkonen 0.74 4
Sebastian Vettel 0.62 4
Nico Hulkenberg 0.58 2
Jean-Eric Vergne 0.50 1
Jenson Button -0.06 3
Felipe Massa -0.10 3
Mark Webber -0.26 3
Sergio Perez -0.37 2
Fernando Alonso -0.47 3
Daniel Ricciardo -0.75 1
Nico Rosberg -1.42 2
Adrian Sutil -1.62 1
Rest Of The Field -4.00 0

* Please note, even in the few days before first practise, the odds can sometimes vary slightly, so I've generally tried to take the odds a few days before each Grand Prix as soon as the market opened on SkyBet.

The most consistent bet in this market last season was Kimi Raikkonen with 19 points scoring finishes from 20 races, and once again he repeats that consistency this year by finishing in the points at every Grand Prix so far.

Ferrari logoRomain Grosjean, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are the other drivers to make it four out of four winning bets, but it's Paul Di Resta who would have returned the biggest profit if you were to have bet on him at every race, due to the fact that he doesn't drive for one of the 'big five' teams and has therefore generally been available at longer odds.

Overall, the profit spread isn't quite so dramatic as some of the earlier charts, so if you're looking for a bet with less risk attached, but obviously also less chance of a high return, then the Top Ten Finish market is probably the market to go for.

. . . . . . . .
